You ever heard of diagnosis card? They do the same thing as this debug numbers on the board for but for any board that doesnt have the debug.

Recently picked up two almost identical HP Z420 workstations. Both very clean, not a spec of dust, hair, grime, etc They came from a local TV station and drives had been totally wiped, no OS Specs for both, 32 gig memory. E5-1607 v2 cpu, 708615-001 MB, 3 1TB drives. DVD drive , Removable hard swap drive bay with 1TB drive. Nvidia quadro k4000 video. One computer had a serial card and an additional network card. $17 each. Have several newer video cards I can swap out and maybe upgrade CPU's for pretty cheap.

There is nothing like a powerful PC with a graphics card and the customer connects the monitor to the motherboard and there is no image.I've had so many times with 3.5mm audio cables, lots of fun, I recommend!

I don't know what to do, I have a motherboard from an HP 8300 computer in the largest version (ATX), and my computer does not turn on, I tried to connect the start button like yours, but it didn't work, do you have any ideas?

You should tell em to use there display port

Alot of computer stores are sticking labels with red arrows poining to the gpu's ports and a text (connect monitor here). I think its a good idea to get a paper wih sticky back and print alot of those, or even draw them and stick with double sided tape to ghetto. I'm always telling buyer to connect it to gpu, but still.

Before I was doing systems programming, I started out with web development. I had a client who was having issues running all the programs they needed on their PC, so I suggested a RAM upgrade from 8 GB to 16 GB. Of course, I have already got my Cisco A+ certificate in high school so when the client asked me if I could install the ram myself in exchange for some extra money I said yes. When I opened up the computer case I noticed an extremely old graphics card that wasn't plugged in and was not currently in use. I thought nothing of it and installed the RAM. Later that day I get a call from the client screaming at me saying that I broke their computer. It turns out that they hadn't unplugged their computer in like 8 years, so when they went to plug the HDMI back into their PC, they were plugging it into the old graphics card and that's why it wasn't displaying. So essentially I was screamed at because of their own incompetence and not my own. Needless to say, I dropped them as a customer after that.

I build and sell pcs through Mercari with shipping all across United States. One of my recent customers was messaging telling me they didnt have sound. They were using hdmi with built in speakees on monitor. I was messaging with them trying to help them troubleshoot. They kept saying something error about nvidia auidio device not connected. Turns out they had hdmi in motherboard port. 😅

Why not out a label or sticker over the backplate to state to plug into the graphics card? Someone may also be using display port and usb C so would be handy having the hdmi plugged stilk. Just my 2 cents anyways.

This was the case I bought for my first PC build in 2013. The handles were a godsend, as I was splitting time between my mom and dad's houses, as they were recently divorced. Building my first PC during a difficult time in my life was a cathartic experience, and a fun escape. Still have my case, was thinking of building a new, Mini ITX build, but I just can't get rid of the C70.

How much Green Crud was under the CPU bracket on the underside of the original mobo? Was it enough to cause a short? Could the orignal mobo be working now that you cleaned it all off?

You could probably have a better time in an elitedesk of some variety, it's only slightly bigger but it's enough to let it accept dual slot gpu's

@12:18 WRONG. Never change more than 1 variable at a time otherwise you will not know what the problem was. Test the memory with a known good Graphics card or the onboard video, THEN test the video card with known good memory. The Scientific method.

A garbage tier AMD CPU. I still have a Ryzen 1700 in a PC. That is a very workable PC 7 years later.

You should ask for the diagnostic upfront. Let them know you will apply it to the repair. That is common practice. Even if you are not a professional, I assume you have a business license. If people think you are hustling them, show them your business license. Maybe open a booth at a flea market once a week. Can be a good place to trade and sell.

I pulled the board out of an HP Pavilion 500-590 to temporarily replace my motherboard that bit the dust. The bios update allowed higher end cpu's up to a 4790T (motherboard's limitations is 85 watts) to be used and the ability to turn off the annoying fan error it gives if a fan is unplugged. Totally worth the update. Went from 8.1 to Windows 10 and it did something weird to the bios, now the fan error is back without the ability to disable it, with or without the drive even being plugged in. Pretty weird issue. As for your graphics card problem, I believe it has to do with the card's device ID and updating the bios allows it to "see" it.
